Ever heard of “gamification”? It’s the secret sauce for website engagement. Create a game that hooks your audience, throw in some clever product placement, make it easy to share, and bam! You’ve got yourself some free advertising.
Normally, crafting a game takes weeks. But in a mind-blowing video, game developer Rye (@ryegamedev) whips up a game in hours using ChatGPT. Granted, he’s a pro with game development skills and knows Blender (a 3D computer graphics software) like the back of his hand.
Check out the game he cooked up with AI — a gritty first-person shooter featuring a janitor on a murder scene investigation: Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mIqCO3f96c.
Imagine you run a cleaning company. Now, envision slapping your branding on the walls or having your janitor wield your cleaning products in the game. Add a feature for players to share their scores, and voilà, free advertising goldmine. (Obviously, this is hypothetical: we wouldn’t copy the idea that Rye comes up with — we would think of something entirely original!)
Sure, the software’s open source, but if you’re new to game creation, it will definitely take you much, much longer than Rye’s lightning-fast demo (which of course was not filmed in real-time and still would have taken him a few days). Furthermore, time (and knowledge) was spent crafting the 3D models in Blender. And if your game code becomes a saga, a (paid-for) ChatGPT Plus account is handy (unless you enjoy coding in bite-sized chunks).
But are you thinking about gamifying your site? It doesn’t have to be as elaborate as Rye’s creation — imagine a simple platform game. Chat with us, and we’ll brainstorm ideas tailored to your company. We’ll estimate the time and cost, giving you the inside scoop.
Or attempt to dive in yourself and give us a call if you get stuck! You’ll be light-years ahead of your competitors. Why? Because small companies deserve big results. 🚀🎮
